Why Biblical Counselling?

Why Biblical Counselling?
What comes into your mind when you hear the word 'sufficient'?  Maybe the word, compentant, or enough, but we think the best choice to describe sufficient would be - adequate or complete.

The Bible has something to say about sufficiency or something being complete or adequate, and that’s the Bible’s testimony of itself.  Listen to what 2 Timothy 3:16-17 has to say:-

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof,  for correction, for instruction  in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

God’s Word is inspired by Himself - why then would we choose to ignore it, take it for granted, disobey it, and worse, think it incompetent to help with the struggles and trials that we may be going through.  We have been duped, deceived by the society that we live in, that tells us the Bible is no longer relevant for today - that it cannot possibly be used to help me.

Hebrews 4:12 tells us that The Word of God is living and powerful, and also in Romans 1:16 it tells us that the Gospel of Christ is the power of God unto Salvation, and as we have already read, God's Word is inspired by Himself.

We at Riverbend Bible Church want to make a stand for God’s Word, to declare to all who would hear, that God’s Word is indeed sufficient to meet all our needs, we have total confidence in the living and powerful Word of God, the Bible - to thoroughly equip us to do all that God calls us to do.
